I self regulate based on the body of water. I will not keep a predator fish out of a small body of water normally. The exception being a few big crappies out of a farm pond if I know the population is stable. I have not kept a pike for any reason in Iowa for many years. I think they are to valuable as a sport fish and predator.

Interesting question I've done all three but I could only vote once so I went with what the law allows. I haven't kept a fish since June but when I did it was a limit of multiple species.

Good question. My wife does like to eat fish so I will bring some home. If there is a slot limit that's what I will keep, not the bigger fish allowed in the limit.

I don't, however, have a problem with what other fishermen keep, unless it is breaking the law.
