I always thought it was 3 months until first frost once you heard them? That would put it at early Oct which would be about right.

Yea Ryan, about 2 weeks ago around the Alta area. I think the old saying was , 6 weeks till frost, but that would mean a real early frost.

I have seen several doe and fawns this week on a flat out run. I was guessing it is bugs bothering them. I almost hit one hauling bales home yesterday with the tractor. Really close to being hay speared.

Does are really moving too. Miss a large dark colored doe today west of Spencer on blacktop today. Missed her by 4-5'. She was running flat out.

You bet. Also a serious hazard.. I had 2 logs wash up in front of my house. Both over 15'. One over 6" in diameter .
