    		 My folks got me started fishing, but my heroes have always been the people I've spent time with outdoors hunting and fishing. Many of you are among them. Today my outdoor heroes are those young people who are just getting started and have the youthful enthusiasm to get out often and the persistence to stick with it. Cole, Austin, and Frankie are among the young men and women who inspire me.

    Brittlab    		 I voted for my pa. he got me into fishing, hunting and camping, nothing fancy just the basics but got me pointed in the right direction, I hope to return the favor this year and take him ice fishing at Brushy a few times since he's recently retired cheesey

    gsmith    		 My Dad enjoyed the outdoors whether it be fishing, hunting or simply enjoying the sites! He wanted his children to share that feeling. I was fishing at a young age and was his "hunting dog" for years while he was teaching me how to hunt and how to handle a gun properly. He was able to help several grandchildren learn how to hunt but his age and health didn't allow him to finish the task. He did, however, get to fish with all the grandchildren and several of the great grandchildren, something that may him very proud.
    It always puts a smile on my face when I read about someone hunting/fishing with their Dad/son! These are great times for both groups.
    This is one of the reasons that I think Ryan Hale would be a "hero". His boys are hunting/fishing with him all the time and are going to be great outdoorsmen. and if you have a passion for the outdoors with the family you can't be all bad!
